Our topic this month is the body. Who among us hasn’t at times struggled to love the body they’re in? Body issues are not just about appearance, they can also be about living with chronic illness or injuries, chronic pain, disabilities, power struggles, sexuality, self-worth, and so much more. As we journey through life, We are forever evolving mentally, energetically, and physically! Our bodies are the vital vessel in which we embody and actualize our incredible, beautiful, and complex selves! Loving and accepting our bodies is intrinsic to loving and accepting ourselves. The journey of learning to love and accept ourselves in mind, spirit, and body is continuous as we age and transition. We might not always be happy with our bodies but these moments are opportunities for us to practice and shift by cultivating gratitude, self-awareness, self-compassion, self-worth, and authenticity. It’s a lot and it takes practice, but remember just how much hard work our body does for us 24/7 and use this as a gateway to commit to the practice of appreciating what we have and to continue doing our best to honor and care for these miraculous bodies. Our bodies reflect our inner selves and the more we love ourselves and embrace a love for life and the unity among all of us, the more radiant our bodies become. This is a personal topic for all of us (yes, myself included, I’m still growing too), with many layers to unravel and self-empowerment waiting to be unearthed! Ready?! Let’s join together and grow!
